KELLY & DVINSKY STAKE MAJOR CLAIMS

New stars emerged in the quarter finals of the Sporting Press Irish Oaks at Shelbourne on Saturday night when Clearview Kelly and Dalcash Dvinsky were only separated by a spot as they led the qualifiers for next week’s semi-finals. However there was a major shock as the big ante-post fancy Tooquicktoocath made her exit from the classic.
Clearview Kelly was marginally fastest when leading all to beat Cartiers Dazzle in 28.58 but that was only a spot faster than Dalcash Dvinsky had clocked when beating the reigning champion Skywalker Queen in 28.59.
The opening heat saw Freedom Crest come from well off the pace to collar Tyrgal Lola late in 28.78 while the other heat winner was Skywalker Kim as she led home the fast finishing Droopys Kina in 28.98.
